This National Submissions Manager is a non-office bearer position that reports to the National Board (Board of Directors) of the Animal Justice Party.
The position of National Submissions Manager has the following responsibilities:
- Research and identify suitable submissions for the party
- Draft and circulate for approval all submissions in conjunction with appropriate experts if necessary
- Research and identify suitable submissions for state submissions
- Assist and review state submissions prior to requests for endorsement by NatCom
- Conduct research for supporting evidence for campaigns
- Liaise with MPs/staffers on submissions where appropriate
- Support advocacy and submissions teams in State and Territory Branches
In particular, some key duties are:
- Provide reports and advice to the National Committee at its monthly meeting, on submissions
- Contribute to the development of a submissions calendar and process
- Draft social media posts if suitable
