Amanda Dorn MP

Amanda Dorn was elected to the Western Australia Legislature in March 2025 after a year serving as a City of Swan Councillor (WA).

Amanda owns a small property management business, and has been a dedicated voice for animals, people and planet for many years.

Whether it be leading a door-knocking campaign for local wildlife, representing her community in Local Government, or volunteering at wildlife shelters and in grassroots community campaigns — Amanda has given years to the causes close to her heart.

Amanda is committed to reflecting a diverse cross-section of her community and giving a voice to the most voiceless.

"I am 100% committed to doing what I can to end animal cruelty in my state parliament area and beyond. It is heartbreaking to see our native wildlife nearing the point of no return — our black cockatoos, little penguins and dingoes, all threatened by land clearing and weak laws that don't afford animals the protection they deserve. I am committed to urgent action to address this crisis, ensuring our native icons are not lost forever. With two rescue dogs of my own, I also understand the financial pressure of rising vet bills and unexpected emergency care costs. This is why I stand behind the Animal Justice Party's Veticare scheme — to bring affordable vet care to those who need it most, and ensure animals can stay with their families."
