Leah is a qualified secondary teacher and has worked in education in Australia, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe and the Pacific. Her international work experience led her to a second career in international development, with a focus on education and social justice. She was a foundational member of the AJP in the ACT, where she served on the local committee and supported territory and federal election campaigns. Leah volunteered for a number of years at a wildlife sanctuary and is currently involved with community groups which lobby for local wildlife protection. She has proudly stood as a candidate with the AJP, including currently as a Lead Upper House candidate in the 2022 Victorian State Election, and is personally committed to fighting animal experimentation and ending live export.
