   I attended the Sydney action day today in Hyde Park. It’s the first protest I’ve ever attended. I anticipated many more people to be present considering the hundreds of thousands of personal comments/emails/letters/columns/articles/videos posted over the net during the last two weeks but it’s so easy to complain when you have it at your fingertips.
   I have to be honest and say I did feel hypocritical being there as I don’t agree with banning live export but feel the action by the government and meat industry heads first and foremost should be in addressing the improvement of the methods of slaughtering to all animals exported overseas. It would set a great example for other countries.
   Let’s face it and be realistic, it will never stop so let’s at least try to make it better. It’s the least the people resonsible could do.

   I attended the rally in Canberra on Saturday with my family, I heard Steve Garlick speak and agreed with every word. I,ve never attended a rally before and was really disappointed with the turnout, and know the only way to stop this trade is to keep pressure on the politicians as they tend to bow like a reed in the wind. I really do think that compensation should be sought from the industry bodies ( mla and Livecorp ) as pressure mounts from farmers and business affected by the temporary ban, I believe the industry can change if there shown how, I would like to help any way I can.
