Rallies call for end to live exports – The Australian
SEVERAL thousand animal welfare supporters across the nation have called on the federal government to end the export of live Australian cattle. Grassroots rallies in major cities were attended by the young, the old, politicians and people in cow suits today.

A modest crowd of about 75 people braved icy winds at Parliament House, Canberra, to join the protest. Speakers included Animal Liberation ACT spokesman Bernie Brennan and Animal Justice Party of Australia president Professor Steve Garlick.
